Working in a pharmacy has been heaps fun.
Old people are the sweetest. (well, generally are) You can't help but smile when they smile back at you. Gums and all. Sooo kkkeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuutttttt!
One day, this elderly man leaned on the counter and peered at me. When I looked up and made eye contact, he said this, "You can be a jockey."
*blink* *blink* My fellow colleagues giggled.
The adorable man continued, "You might have to carry some saddle bags to weigh you down a bit more."
I wasn't sure I should be insulted for the comment on my height/size or be complimented for not being fat. Nonetheless, I burst out laughing. =P
Being the second smallest in the pharmacy, people can't help being amused by my height. hehehe
Nor can they help but ask where I am from.
"Are you from China?"
"No, I'm from Malaysia."
"But you're not Malay."
"Yea. I'm not. I'm Malaysian-Chinese."
"HUh?"
heh. That happens pretty often.
